Galatasaray S.K. is a football club based in Istanbul, Turkey, founded in 1905. Currently competing in the Turkish Süper Lig, the club plays its home matches at RAMS Park

Club History
Established by a group of high school students in 1905, Galatasaray initially competed in the Istanbul League. The club claimed its first league title in the 1908/09 season. When the Turkish National League was launched in 1937, Galatasaray finished as runners-up in the inaugural campaign. In 1939, the club secured its first national league championship.
Galatasaray became the first Turkish team to participate in the European Cup during the 1956/57 season. Following the professionalization of Turkish football leagues in 1959, the club finished as runners-up in the first Turkish Süper Lig season. Between 1971 and 1973, Galatasaray achieved three consecutive Süper Lig titles, becoming the first team in the league's history to do so. The 1972/73 season saw the club win the league title, Turkish Cup, and Turkish Super Cup, completing a domestic treble.

Current Situation
During the 1999/2000 season, Galatasaray secured four consecutive league titles. They also made history by defeating Arsenal to win the UEFA Cup, becoming the first Turkish team to claim a European trophy. In 2000, the club beat Real Madrid to win the UEFA Super Cup, another first for a Turkish side. Galatasaray lifted its 15th Süper Lig title in the 2001/02 season and won the Turkish Cup for a third consecutive time in the 2015/16 season.
In May 2024, Galatasaray claimed the 2023/24 Turkish Süper Lig championship. On 4 August 2024, the club lost to Beşiktaş in the Turkish Super Cup, missing out on the title.
