UEFA has officially announced that the group stage draw for the UEFA Champions League will take place in Monaco on August 28th, while the draw ceremonies for the Europa League and Europa Conference League will be combined and held on August 28th local time.
This year's Champions League group stage draw will be held in Monaco at 18:00 local time on August 28th. The procedure is identical to last year: 36 participating teams will be divided into four pots based on their respective coefficient rankings, with the Champions League title holders as the top seed in Pot 1. Starting from Pot 1, a physical ball will first be drawn, and then the automated software, which was put into use last year, will draw eight opponents for them, following these principles:
Each pot contains two teams, and teams drawn from each pot by the software will play one home game and one away game.
Teams from the same association will not face each other.
No more than two opponents can be from the same association.
The UEFA Champions League schedule (including match dates and kick-off times) will be announced by Saturday, August 30th local time.
