About AFC Ajax
AFC Ajax is a football club based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, currently competing in the Eredivisie with its home ground at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Club History
Founded in March 1900, the club spent its first 11 years in the Dutch second-tier league. In the 1930s, Ajax claimed five Dutch league titles. Under the leadership of Rinus Michels in 1965, the club reached unprecedented heights both domestically and in Europe, winning three European Cup trophies and 11 domestic honors including seven Eredivisie titles. Johan Cruijff took over as Ajax's head coach in 1985.
In 1995, Ajax enjoyed an undefeated season, beating Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu and defeating AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League final to lift the Champions League trophy for the fourth time. In May 2024, Ajax officially announced Francesco Farioli as their new manager on a three-year contract.

Widely regarded as the most successful football club in the Netherlands, Ajax has won 36 Eredivisie titles, 20 KNVB Cups, nine Johan Cruijff Shields, four European Cup/UEFA Champions League trophies, one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, one UEFA Cup, three UEFA Super Cups, and two Intercontinental Cup (Toyota Cup) titles as of the 2024/25 season.
