The Hungary men's national football team (Hungarian: Magyar labdarúgó-válogatott; hereinafter referred to as "Hungary national team") has nicknames including "National Eleven" and "Magyars". Administered by the Hungarian Football Federation, it is the official men's national football representative team of Hungary. Its home stadium is the Puskás Aréna, which has a capacity of 67,155 spectators.

Team History
In 1902, the Hungary national team played its first official match. In 1906, it became a representative team of a FIFA member association. In 1908, Hungary participated in the Olympic Games for the first time, marking the team’s debut in a major international tournament. After World War I, the team competed under the name of the Hungarian national team.
In 1934, Hungary took part in the FIFA World Cup for the first time and advanced to the quarter-finals. At the 1938 FIFA World Cup, Hungary lost 2-4 to Italy in the final and claimed the runner-up position. In 1952, the team won the Olympic gold medal with an undefeated record.
In 1993, Ferenc Puskás was appointed head coach of the Hungary national team, but his tenure only lasted 74 days. At the end of 2003, Lothar Matthäus became the first foreign head coach in the history of the Hungary national team.

Nowadays
In November 2015, Hungary eliminated Norway with an aggregate score of 3-1 in the UEFA European Championship qualifying play-offs, returning to a major international tournament for the first time since 1986. At the 2016 UEFA European Championship, Hungary topped its group and advanced to the round of 16.
After the group stage of the 2018/19 UEFA Nations League, Hungary finished second in its group and was promoted to the Nations League B tier. In 2020, the team secured a spot in the UEFA Nations League A tier.
On November 18, 2023, after the 9th round of the UEFA European Championship qualifiers, Hungary qualified for the final tournament of the European Championship. At the 2024 UEFA European Championship, Hungary was eliminated in the group stage.
On September 10, 2024, in the 2nd round of the UEFA Nations League A tier, Hungary drew 0-0 with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
