Club Brugge KV is a football club based in Bruges, Belgium, founded in 1891. With its home ground at the Jan Breydel Stadium, which has a capacity of 29,997 spectators, the club is regarded as one of Belgium's most successful football teams.

Club History
Club Brugge claimed its first Belgian top-flight title in the 1919-20 season. The club entered its golden era in the 1970s, dominating domestically while making breakthroughs in European competitions. It reached the finals of the UEFA Cup and the European Cup in successive campaigns, becoming the only Belgian club to ever reach the European Cup/UEFA Champions League final, though it lost to Liverpool on both occasions. In October 2022, the team qualified for the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League two rounds early, becoming the second Belgian club to reach the round of 16.

Current Situation
On 16 May 2020, the Royal Belgian Football Association announced the early termination of the season due to the pandemic, with Club Brugge being crowned champions of the 2019/20 Belgian Pro League. In May 2021, the club secured the 2020/21 league title one round ahead of schedule, marking its 17th top-tier championship. Later that month, it defeated Anderlecht 2-1 to win the Belgian Cup for the 11th time. In March 2024, Club Brugge advanced to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League, eliminating PAOK with a 3-0 aggregate score before falling to Fiorentina 4-3 on aggregate in the semi-finals, ending their run at the final four.
