The incident occurred in the city of Milan, where the Porsche Carrera driven by Maldini collided with a Volkswagen Golf. Three of his friends were also in the vehicle with Maldini. The police administered an alcohol test on Maldini, and his blood alcohol concentration exceeded the legal limit, resulting in the suspension of his driving license.
To make matters worse, Maldini was also subjected to a drug test, which returned a positive result as well. Confirmation is currently pending the outcome of toxicological tests conducted by the hospital.
