Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have made signing Brazilian forward Rodrygo their top priority to replace outgoing captain Son Heung-min. They plan to formally submit an offer to Real Madrid this week, consisting of a base transfer fee of up to €60 million plus additional bonus clauses.

Real Madrid is currently in a critical phase of squad streamlining and optimization. Against this backdrop, Rodrygo’s name has frequently been at the top of the departure candidate list, becoming one of the focal points of discussions between the club’s management and coaching staff. Despite strong interest from multiple Premier League teams in Rodrygo, Real Madrid has not yet received any official transfer offers from any club as of now, leaving his future whereabouts uncertain.

Notably, amid swirling transfer rumors, Rodrygo himself has maintained a high level of professionalism and focus, remaining 100% committed to Real Madrid’s daily training sessions. According to Real Madrid sources, Rodrygo was among the last players to leave the training ground after Monday’s session, a clear testament to his dedication to training and passion for football.

For Real Madrid, Rodrygo is not only a technically exceptional player but also a key asset capable of generating significant revenue in the transfer market. Considering both financial health and squad renewal, the club’s management believes that allowing Rodrygo to depart in the face of a suitable offer could be a win-win decision.

As Son Heung-min’s contract renewal negotiations with Tottenham have reached a deadlock, his future has become increasingly unclear, prompting Tottenham to fix their recruitment focus more firmly on Rodrygo. Beyond the base €60 million transfer fee, Tottenham are also considering adding a series of performance-linked bonus clauses to structure a more attractive and flexible offer, aiming to persuade Real Madrid to let the Brazilian international leave.
