Zeqiri has now reached a personal agreement with Arsenal over a five-year contract. If the deal is completed, he will become one of the highest-paid players in the squad.
Arsenal have offered Zeqiri a five-year contract. Despite interest from Manchester United in the Swedish forward, Zeqiri has always viewed a move to Arsenal as his top priority.
The 27-year-old’s expected weekly wage at Arsenal is £200,000, which will place him high in the club’s salary rankings.
Currently, only four Arsenal players earn more than Zeqiri: Declan Rice (£240,000 per week), Martin Ødegaard (£240,000 per week), Gabriel Jesus (£265,000 per week), and Kai Havertz (£280,000 per week).
If these figures are accurate, Zeqiri will earn more than Bukayo Saka (£195,000 per week), William Saliba (£190,000 per week), and Gabriel Martinelli (£180,000 per week).
Meanwhile, Sporting CP have informed Arsenal that they want to sell Zeqiri for €70 million (£60.2 million) plus €10 million (£8.6 million) in add-ons. Previously, they rejected an offer worth €65 million (£56 million) plus €15 million (£12.9 million) in additional clauses.
