Luka Modrić is set to join AC Milan. In the early hours of this morning, as Real Madrid were eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup semi-finals, Modrić's 13-year career at Real Madrid came to an official end.
Modrić will sign a one-year contract with the Rossoneri and join the team after the Club World Cup concludes.
The 39-year-old midfielder joined Real Madrid in 2012 and during his 13-year spell at the Santiago Bernabéu, he won six Champions League titles.
Despite approaching his 40th birthday, Modrić produced another stellar campaign last season, making 54 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring four goals and providing nine assists.
