About Zimbabwe national football team
The Zimbabwe national football team is a representative team managed by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), nicknamed the "Warriors," with kits sponsored by the LEGEA brand. Renamed from the Rhodesia national football team in 1980, the team mainly participates in international competitions such as the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and FIFA World Cup Qualifiers but has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup finals.

Team History
Football was introduced to Zimbabwe by European colonizers in 1890, and the first football club emerged in 1915. Zimbabwe launched its national league in 1962 and began participating in international competitions after the end of apartheid in 1979. It made its debut in World Cup Qualifiers in 1982, won the CECAFA Cup in 1995, and claimed its first COSAFA Cup title in 2000. As of 2025, the team has only qualified for the AFCON finals twice (in 2004 and 2006) and drew 1-1 with Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup CAF Qualifiers.
