Hello football fans, today we take a look at the World Cup round of 16 clash between Switzerland and Colombia in Vancouver.
Both teams topped their groups: Switzerland beat Algeria 2-0 in the final round, while Colombia edged Ghana 1-0. Switzerland are extremely solid and well-organized defensively, and they also have the major advantage of staying in Vancouver the entire time — no long travel, fresh legs. However, they sometimes lack the creativity needed in attack, and they struggle against deep defensive blocks.
Colombia have more individual quality. Luis Díaz is a real threat out wide, and James Rodríguez provides the creative passes in midfield. They have already beaten Switzerland at a World Cup before.
