England will get to the byline, cut it back, and create high-quality chances. Panama’s defense is physical but not very mobile. Quick combinations and switches of play will pull them apart. I see multiple goals coming from wide areas or cutbacks into the box. Panama will try to defend deep and keep it tight. That works for a while, maybe 20 or 30 minutes. But concentration under constant pressure is hard. One mistake, one slip, and England scores. Then the dam breaks. Panama has to come out a little, and that leaves even more space. I’ve seen this script many times with big nations against smaller ones. The -2 line means England needs to win by three goals for a full win, or by exactly two for a push. When I look at the quality gap and the game script I expect, I see a three- or four-goal win for England. Maybe 4-0 or 4-1. Something like that. Panama might have a moment, but England has too much firepower. So that’s my thinking. Not emotional, not based on hope. Just a cold look at the matchup and the mentality.
