João Mendes, son of Brazilian legend Ronaldinho, accepted an interview with Camel.live and talked about whether he carries pressure due to his father’s prominent reputation.

João Mendes said: “It’s normal for people to see me this way (as Ronaldinho’s son), but it doesn’t affect me at all, nor does it change how I play. I don’t care about it at all—I don’t feel any pressure. I’ve always known that I’m me, and he’s him.”

“My family always tells me these are just noise. I don’t need to pay attention to external comments; I just need to enjoy the joy of playing football.”

The 20-year-old winger started his career at Cruzeiro’s youth academy, has played in Barcelona’s youth system, and currently features for Hull City U21s.
