Al-Khaleej have reached an agreement with Atalanta over the transfer of Mateo Retegui, with the Italian international forward set to join the Saudi Pro League.
Including add-on clauses, the total transfer fee Al-Khaleej will pay to Atalanta could reach a maximum of €67 million.
Furthermore, Retegui will sign a long-term contract with Al-Khaleej, and his salary will be more than six times what he earned in Italy.
Last season, Retegui made 49 appearances for Atalanta across all competitions, scoring 28 goals and providing 9 assists. He also won the Serie A Golden Boot with 25 league goals.
