Real Madrid's prize money has hit an astonishing figure after defeating Borussia Dortmund to reach the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Real Madrid's accumulated prize money:

Participation bonus: $35,700,000

Group stage (2 wins, 1 draw): $5,000,000

Round of 16 bonus: $7,500,000

Quarter-final bonus: $13,125,000

Semi-final bonus: $21,000,000

Total: $82,325,000

It is worth noting that at today's exchange rate, the before-tax amount of this bonus has exceeded the transfer fee for new signing Heijsen ($73,618,000), who was sent off in the closing stages of the Dortmund match. The Dutch defender joined Madrid for €62.5 million (approximately $73.62 million).
