Recently, Paul Merson shared his views on the Premier League title race in an interview with Camel Live Sports.

Paul Merson said: “Everyone should buckle up for Sunday’s Chelsea vs Arsenal clash. It’s a ‘Super Sunday’ showdown, Chelsea vs Arsenal – absolutely a heavyweight football match.

“If Arsenal beat Chelsea in this game, I think the Premier League title race will be effectively over, almost announcing the end of the title battle this season. It will be extremely difficult for other teams to catch up with them then; Arsenal will pull ahead and beat all opponents.

“This is a highly significant ‘statement’ for Arsenal, and the result will resonate across Europe. When other teams see the score, they will all exclaim ‘incredible’, especially considering Bayern Munich have had the upper hand against Arsenal in recent years.

“Now, this Bayern Munich side is dominant on the pitch. I know the style of the Bundesliga is different from the Premier League, but Bayern’s strength in European competitions is proven – they always go far in continental tournaments, and Arsenal’s performance has been top-notch.

“The two teams were well-matched in the first half, with chances on both sides, but in the second half, Arsenal took complete control of the game and dominated Bayern. Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli, Calfiori, Odegaard and Ben White all came off the bench later.

“The quality of these five substitutes is such that they could easily secure a starting spot in most teams. Despite Arsenal’s large and strong squad, they absolutely cannot afford to lose Rice – this player is getting better and better.

“Rice put in a perfect performance against Bayern, running the midfield and leaving Bayern’s players chasing shadows. One hundred percent, he is Arsenal’s most important player. However, Zubimendi’s performance is also worthy of mention – he played extremely well that game too.”
