On September 18, Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven announced the official signing of 16-year-old striker Seb Huntelaar. The young Dutch international has joined from Vitesse and penned a three-year contract with the club, which runs until mid-2028.
Seb was born in Madrid, Spain on April 8, 2009. The 16-year-old will immediately join PSV’s youth academy and become part of the U17 squad. On February 18 this year, he made his debut for the Netherlands U16 team and is regarded as a true "goal poacher" – a striker with a sharp instinct in front of goal. He not only boasts excellent footwork and excels at combining with teammates, but also possesses solid aerial ability.
Notably, Seb is the son of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, a former Dutch international who wore the red and white jersey of PSV Eindhoven between 2000 and 2004. Now, with this transfer, Seb is following in his father’s footsteps.
