Liverpool Football Club can confirm the following official announcement:
Darwin Núñez has completed a permanent transfer to Al Hilal SFC, subject to international transfer clearance.
The Uruguayan forward concludes a three-year spell with the Reds, officially joining the Saudi Professional League side today.
Núñez made 143 appearances at Anfield, scoring 40 goals, and claimed both a Premier League title and an EFL Cup winner's medal during his time with the club.
He joined from Benfica in the summer of 2022 and scored on his senior debut, helping Jürgen Klopp's side defeat Manchester City to win the Community Shield.
In his first season at Liverpool, he made 42 appearances across all competitions, scoring 15 goals, and was named Club Player of the Month on two occasions.
In his following season, Núñez increased his goal tally to 18, including scoring twice after coming off the bench against Newcastle United to help the team secure a late comeback win.
The 2024-25 season proved to be his final campaign with the Reds, as he brought his Merseyside career to a close by lifting the Premier League trophy.
In January of this year, he scored twice in stoppage time against Brentford to secure a vital victory, which stands as one of the key moments of that historic campaign.
Everyone at the club would like to thank Darwin for his contributions and wish him and his family all the very best for the future.
