Too Nervous? Amorim Suspected of Daring Not to Watch Penalty Shootout, Slated by Man Utd Fans as "Cowardly"

In the second round of the EFL Cup, during Manchester United’s away match against Grimsby Town, fans noticed that Amorim, the Red Devils’ head coach, remained on the touchline during the second round of the penalty shootout. Instead of watching the direction of the penalty kicks, he sat with his head down in thought.

Numerous Manchester United fans lashed out on social media: “You can’t even bear to watch a penalty? Are you even fit to be Man Utd’s manager? Never seen such a coward!”

However, some other fans argued that Amorim might have been deep in thought, trying to devise a strategy for the potential third round of the penalty shootout.

In the end, Manchester United suffered a disappointing defeat in the second round of the penalty shootout and were eliminated from the competition.
