Arsenal have reached a principle agreement with Crystal Palace over the signing of Eberechi Eze.
The value of the deal is equivalent to the expired £68 million release clause, matching the transfer fee Tottenham Hotspur were willing to pay.
Personal terms are set to be finalised, and the 27-year-old is expected to feature for Crystal Palace on Thursday before undergoing a medical with the north London club.
Arsenal have significantly strengthened their attacking options this summer, with Victor Gyökeres joining from Sporting CP for €63.5 million and Noni Madueke arriving from London rivals Chelsea for £48.5 million.
Ethan Nwaneri has also signed a new long-term contract with the club, committing his future to the side.
Eze joined Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2020 for around £17 million. He has made 169 appearances for the south London club, scoring 40 goals. He has also earned 12 caps for the England national team, netting once.
