At the pre-match press conference ahead of the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta joked that he was "frustrated" his team failed to score from set pieces in the North London Derby.
When asked about the fact that all four goals in the previous Premier League 4-1 win over Tottenham came from open play, Arteta said: "For me, all goals are worth the same. Every element is part of the game. We need to adapt based on the opponent’s defensive strategy and our available options, and we have to be highly efficient in every aspect."
"It frustrates me that we didn’t score from a set piece (prompting laughter from the room), because I also wanted to get one – and conceding one made me even more annoyed."
"So yes, we strive to excel in every detail. That’s exactly our goal."
