In Premier League Matchday 6, Manchester United were held to a dramatic 1-1 home draw by 10-man Tottenham Hotspur. Following the final whistle, United head coach Michael Carrick spoke to BBC's Match of the Day.

On the match:

Carrick: “It was a mixed game. We found it tough to start with and weren't quite there, but the lads grew into it and we were better in everything during the second half. In such a good position, we should see it through. That's two late goals that have hurt us, and things look very different. That's the reality.”

On the sluggish start:

Carrick: “I don't think it is a lack of confidence, but games can get away from you quickly. We regained control and took charge—which is the most disappointing part.”

On the boos at half-time and full-time:

Carrick: "It's not nice, it hurts a lot because I care about this club. But I understand the disappointment; the reality is what it is, and we need to get back to winning games."
