According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Saudi football is on the verge of witnessing one of the most iconic off-pitch blockbuster developments in its modern history. An elite consortium composed of five heavyweight investors is preparing to submit a formal takeover bid to the Public Investment Fund (PIF) for Al Nassr.

The biggest highlight of this proposed deal lies in the consortium's high-profile lineup: alongside Al Nassr's talismanic superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, AC Milan owner and RedBird Capital CEO Gerry Cardinale is prominently involved.
In addition, the consortium features prominent business tycoons including Ibrahim Al-Muhaidib, Mohammed Al-Khuraiji, and Sharaf Al-Hariri.
According to sports analyst Nawaf_STATS and corroborated by several Italian media outlets, the financial framework calls for each of the five consortium members to contribute at least $100 million (approximately €92 million), injecting a massive sum of capital into the Riyadh giants.
This marks an unprecedented strategic initiative, which would see Cristiano Ronaldo transition from the absolute on-pitch focal point to a co-owner of the very club he represents.
At present, the acquisition process has entered its most decisive and sensitive final stretch. Representatives from RedBird Capital and the investor consortium are scheduled to hold an emergency meeting with senior PIF executives within the next 48 hours.
This high-level summit will determine the ultimate direction of the transaction: whether the Public Investment Fund (PIF) agrees to relinquish control of Al Nassr, or whether the takeover bid falls through entirely.
The whole of Riyadh and the global football community are monitoring developments with close interest, as this behind-the-scenes maneuver is set to send shockwaves across the sport.
