Barcelona have ruled out the possibility of signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and are shifting their transfer focus entirely to Luis Díaz.
The United striker has not been included in Barcelona's transfer plans, with the club having zeroed in on the Colombian attacker.
Following Nico Williams' contract renewal with Athletic Bilbao, Barcelona were forced to adjust their strategy and return to their original transfer plan: signing Liverpool's Díaz. The forward has emerged as the top transfer target for new manager Julian Flick and club director Deco.
According to reports, while Manchester United are open to the idea of letting Rashford leave for a moderate transfer fee, the reality is that the Englishman does not feature in Barcelona's plans. Neither Flick nor Deco has identified Rashford as a priority target, and his chances of joining Barça are currently next to zero.
Barcelona have clear requirements for their incoming signings, seeking a player with a more well-rounded skill set, strong self-sacrificing spirit and leadership qualities, as well as the experience to mentor younger squad members. Rashford, through his agent, has conveyed to Barcelona his strong desire to play for the club and even line up alongside rising star Lamine Yamal. However, this remains a personal ambition, as Barcelona have not responded to this overture.
