Manchester United have held talks with Chelsea and Aston Villa over the possibility of deals involving players such as Garnacho, Jackson and Watkins this summer.
Old Trafford chiefs are seeking new solutions to several transfer issues this summer, while United manager Amorim hopes to continue a complete overhaul of the squad list while selling players. However, United’s PSR pressures persist, meaning they are exploring player swaps. In addition to a number 9, the club also wants a mobile number 6 and a goalkeeper, with the potential signing order depending on opportunities and signing situations.
Chelsea have long been interested in Garnacho, but there is a major obstacle to any potential deal. While Stamford Bridge chiefs value Jackson at £80 million, they are unwilling to pay more than £30 million in transfer fees for Garnacho.
United, meanwhile, are firm on their valuation as they look to maximize the club’s summer sales. The club is particularly focused on Garnacho and Antony, with La Liga having generated considerable interest in the Brazilian winger after he impressed for Real Betis last season.
Given that Watkins is a striker with extensive Premier League experience, United have also shown strong interest in him, which would address one of Amorim’s key issues from last season. However, this depends heavily on Villa’s willingness to sell, and the club’s current stance is that he remains not for sale.
