Portuguese forward João Félix recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Spanish outlet Diario AS, where he reflected on his experience sharing the pitch with Cristiano Ronaldo.
What is it like playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo?
Félix: “It is something very few people in football get to experience. I played alongside him for the national team, and now we are playing together at Al-Nassr—it is a tremendous honor. We grew up looking up to Cristiano as an idol and a role model, and now I have the opportunity to share these moments with him; even last year's title was deeply meaningful. Being able to help Cristiano secure a championship he had been pursuing ever since he joined is special. We must cherish and enjoy all of this, because we know he will not be here forever. But as long as he is, we will be right there beside him.”
Can you imagine assisting Cristiano Ronaldo's 1,000th goal?
Félix: "I have already thought about it. When he is just one goal away, every single time I get the ball, I will look for a way to pass it to him. That goal will undoubtedly be etched into football history, and witnessing that moment firsthand will definitely be cool."
