Cristiano Ronaldo: Rejected Club World Cup Offers; "Only Football-Ignorant Deny Saudi League Is Top 5"

Cristiano Ronaldo spoke in an official Al-Nassr interview after renewing his contract for two more years, addressing his ambitions, Saudi football's status, and future plans:

On Rejecting Club World Cup Bids

“My goal is to win important titles with Al-Nassr, and I remain convinced of that. That's why I extended for two years—I believe we can claim championships here. I received offers related to the Club World Cup, but they made no sense. I prefer to rest and prepare properly, as this season will be long.”

On the Saudi Pro League's Global Standing

“We're still progressing, but the Saudi Pro League is already among the world's top five. I'm happy because I know how competitive it is. Only those who've never played here and know nothing about football would say it isn't top five.”

“It's incredible—hence my two-year extension. It's not just about football; I want to integrate into the country's life. My contribution goes beyond the pitch, and I hope to always be part of Saudi Arabia's development.”

On His Future and Post-Retirement Plans

“Future? Two years ago, I never thought I'd play in Saudi Arabia—life is full of surprises. I live in the present; I don't make decisions based on 'what ifs.' The present is good, bright. I'm a positive person.”

On Coaching: "Me, a coach? I can say for sure I'll never be one—though 'never' is strong. It's not in my plans, not in five years, 10 years, or 20. But as you know, life surprises us."
